Elmira Collins, Clerk, Insurance & RX Enrollment Specialist
I have been employed since 1997. I enjoy coming to work and each day truly brings with it a new learning experience. I work with a caring team of providers and staff in making sure that patient care is foremost on the days agenda. I love helping patients get enrolled in an insurance program and am there to greet and help them when they call or come into our clinics. I have 5 children and 8 grandchildren, we also have Zip, our beloved dog. I love reading my Bible daily, working on search-a-word, jigsaw puzzles, and sitting on the beach (I love the ocean). I read between 3 to 5 books a week and love book stores.

I work with a great team of people and I have learned so much. My hobbies include baking, zumba and spin classes. I have two wonderful sons and I love to travel to Mexico.

Cari McCarty, Certified Medical Specialist
I began working at NMC in 2007. I have been married for 22 years and have four beautiful children. I am now studying Spanish (a big goal of mine) and would like to refresh my sign language skills. I love to help people and care for others. The three most important things in my life are God, Family and being a part of NMC, and each one is special to me. Health and exercise is also very important to me. I feel very blessed with the opportunity to be a employee of NMC and I can share my gift of caring and helping people which I love to do.

Alice Mixer, Bilingual Social Worker
I have worked for the NMC since Fall of 2006. Before retiring I worked as a school social worker from the Ypsilanti Public Schools. Born in Muskegon, I came to Ann Arbor to attend the University of Michigan and never left. I have a husband, a son and 3 grandsons. My hobbies include yoga, playing the guitar and studying Spanish. The Nurse Managed Centers are special because of our dedication to helping our patients.

Jennifer Morris, Certified Medical Assistant Specialist
I began my new life work at the University of Michigan, Nurse Managed Centers in March 2009 as a Certified Medical Assistant Specialist. I enjoy all outdoor activities, from hiking to snowshoeing. I even climbed a mountain in Colorado called "Long's Peak", which took two days to reach the summit at over 14,352 ft. I am married to Ryan, we have two amazing dogs,Winstin and Buddy (our only children). The four of us hike, camp and off-road in our Jeep all year long. My faith and relationship I share with my family has made me the person I am today.
